Interesting. setlists.net has the following setlist for 5-23-69:

05/23/69
Seminole Indian Village - Hollywood, FL

Set 1:
Dancin' In The Streets
Casey Jones
Hard To Handle
Morning Dew
Me And My Uncle
Dark Star
St. Stephen
The Eleven

Deadbase only has from Hard to Handle on. The db.etree listing for the show does have Dancin' and Casey Jones, with two sources (74 and 12223). But (the plot thickens) the 74 source is a broken link and the 12223 source only has from Hard to Handle on. If indeed there was no Casey Jones that night, then Dire Wolf would take the prize for Workingman's Dead. In puzzling over this, I realized that the early CJ I had been thinking of was 6-27-69.

You'll notice here on LMA the provided setlist for 5-23-69 also has Dancin & KCJ to start, but the actual show opens with Hard to Handle. Probably the fake setlist comes from an old tape where someone added the 6-22-69 openers Dancin & KCJ to the 5-23-69 show. The 2 songs are the only part of that show that have been available from the SBD, unfortunately. Easily my favorite KCJ, although they kept the lilting intro for a while.
(And both shows are great! Which is the most important thing.)

Yes, I'd noticed that about the LMA listing. Great suggestion about 6-22. I'll bet that's it. Looks like Dire Wolf wins! As a longtime fan of the song, I couldn't be happier. I'm listening to the 6-22 KCJ right now (while watching the Yankees suck).
